Kandy Day Tour

After breakfast the journey takes you first to the Elephant orphanage at Pinnawala where abandoned and orphaned Elephants are being looked after. Then you will be visiting a Tea factory on the way to Kandy. Kandy is the hill capital of Sri Lanka founded in the 14th Century AD and the last kingdom of Sri Lankan kings before it fell to the British in 1815. Then we visit The Temple of the Tooth Relic which houses the sacred Tooth Relic of "Lord Buddha" is the most significant building in the city, after that explore the Kandy city. On the way back visit Peradeniya Botanical Garden, which is well known for its large number and variety of plants. Also ornamental and decorative trees, useful for medicine. In total there is more than 4000 species, including indigenous and introduced plants. After that drive back to hotel.
